Is GTA 6 on PS4 or Xbox One?#
No. Last-generation consoles were ruled out at announcement. You need a current-generation console.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?#
No PC version has been announced. GTA V's PC port arrived 19 months after console and Red Dead Redemption 2's took 12, so 2027 or later is the realistic expectation.
Is GTA 6 coming to Nintendo Switch 2?#
No version has been announced, and no credible reporting suggests one exists.
Is GTA 6 on mobile?#
No. There is no mobile version and none has ever been announced.
How many times has GTA 6 been delayed?#
Twice. From Fall 2025 to 26 May 2026, announced 2 May 2025; then to 19 November 2026, announced 6 November 2025.
Will GTA 6 be delayed again?#
There is no indication it will. Rockstar has shown 26 minutes of gameplay captured on retail PS5 hardware, pre-orders have been taking money since June 2026, and a pre-load date of 12 November is published.
When can I pre-load GTA 6?#
From 12 November 2026, a week before launch, for digital pre-orders.
What time does GTA 6 unlock?#
Rockstar has not published an unlock time. Its recent pattern has been a midnight-local unlock for digital purchases.
How big is the GTA 6 download?#
Rockstar has not published an install size. The unusually early pre-load window suggests it is very large.

No. Despite early reporting of a three-tier structure, Rockstar published only Standard and Ultimate.

Five exclusive vehicles, personalised Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, exclusive outfits, 50-plus tattoo designs, the Wyman's Classic Car Collection commission mission, and six single-player-only shops.
What is the GTA 6 pre-order bonus?#

Is there a physical disc for GTA 6?#
No. The boxed Standard Edition contains a download code, and the Ultimate Edition is digital only.
Can I upgrade to the Ultimate Edition later?#
Yes. Standard Edition owners can buy the Ultimate upgrade at any time.

Yes. Lucia Caminos is the first female protagonist in a mainline Grand Theft Auto.

Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson has said a full playthrough took him around 80 hours.
Is GTA 6 set in the 1980s?#
No. GTA 6 is modern-day. The 1980s Vice City belongs to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City from 2002.
Are Jason and Lucia in a relationship?#
They are written as a criminal couple, but the romance is optional — the partnership can stay strictly platonic.
Does GTA 6 have multiple endings?#
Rockstar has not confirmed multiple endings. It has said players face decisions throughout, with smaller ones paying off later and larger ones changing events immediately.
Can Jason or Lucia die permanently?#
Nothing suggests permadeath. Being caught produces a “Busted” screen and returns you to the open world.
Why is Lucia in prison at the start?#
She was jailed at Leonida Penitentiary for protecting her family, and gets out through what Rockstar calls sheer luck.
Do characters from GTA 5 appear in GTA 6?#
Nothing has been confirmed. Shared brands like Ammu-Nation and Cluckin' Bell establish it is the same fictional universe, but no returning characters have been announced.

In the fictional US state of Leonida, based on Florida, with Vice City as its largest city.
How big is the GTA 6 map?#
Roughly double GTA V's playable area and about three times Red Dead Redemption 2's landmass, according to press estimates. Rockstar has not published a figure.
What regions are in GTA 6?#
Six counties: Vice-Dale (Vice City), Mariana (Grassrivers and the Leonida Keys), Ambrosia, Kelly (Port Gellhorn), Leonard and Lummox (Mount Kalaga National Park).
Is Vice City in GTA 6?#
Yes, as the largest city in Leonida and the main urban setting, in a modern-day version roughly twice the size of Los Santos.
Can you go inside buildings in GTA 6?#
Leaked material points to more than 700 enterable interiors including nightclubs, hotels, restaurants, gun stores, supermarkets and metro stations.
Does GTA 6 have public transport?#
Yes. Vice City has a functional tram system you can enter and ride, and a rideshare app called Ryde Me.

Remove whatever evidence they hold: visit a barber to clear a facial description, fully change your outfit to clear a clothing description, and swap vehicles if your car was identified.
Do police need to see the crime in GTA 6?#
Yes. Law enforcement is only alerted when someone witnesses the offence, and what they know depends on what the witness could make out.
What is the Criminal Profile in GTA 6?#
A reputation system replacing Red Dead Redemption 2's Honor. It tracks how you operate as a criminal rather than sorting actions into good and evil.
Does GTA 6 have first-person mode?#
Reportedly not at launch, though Rockstar has not confirmed this either way.
What frame rate does GTA 6 run at?#
Reporting points to 30 fps on a base PS5. Rockstar has not confirmed frame rates on any platform.
Can you switch characters any time in GTA 6?#
Mostly. Free switching works across the open world, but some missions lock you to one protagonist. While you play one, the other lives their own life.
Can you get fat in GTA 6?#

Do you need to refuel cars in GTA 6?#
Leaked footage showed fuel and engine-condition meters plus refuelling at petrol stations, and vehicle condition appears on the HUD in official footage.

Do you need money to progress in GTA 6?#
Yes. Rockstar has said players may need to raise a specific amount of cash before the main story advances.
How do heists work in GTA 6?#
Robberies range from store holdups to bank heists, alone or as a couple. Blowing a safe is fast but damages the contents; cracking the combination preserves full value but risks police arriving.
How do you steal cars in GTA 6?#
Parked vehicles are tiered by security. Older cars need a slim jim with a timed minigame; modern luxury cars have electronic locks requiring key cloners.
What is the WAINK app in GTA 6?#
A phone app that scans a vehicle for its value, registration, lock status, alarm and GPS tracking before you attempt to steal it.
Can you sell stolen cars in GTA 6?#

Community trackers have catalogued 272, with around 198 officially revealed and 300-plus expected at launch. Rockstar has not published a figure.
Are there planes in GTA 6?#
Leaked footage shows Jason flying a plane, and Vice City International Airport is confirmed. Rockstar has not detailed the aircraft roster.
Are there airboats in GTA 6?#
Yes. Airboats are a new vehicle class added for the Grassrivers wetlands — a first for the series.
How many weapons can you carry in GTA 6?#
GTA 6 uses a limited loadout. You hold one weapon in hand and can quick-swap between two firearms, with the rest stored in vehicle trunks.
Does GTA 6 have non-lethal options?#
Yes. Yellow targeting markers at joints allow non-lethal shots — hitting an arm or leg incapacitates, and an accurate shot can disarm.
Is Ammu-Nation in GTA 6?#
Yes. Ammu-Nation returns as the main weapon retailer, and Trailer 2 included a commercial for Phil's Ammu-Nation.

Does GTA 6 have multiplayer?#
Not at launch. GTA 6 releases as a single-player experience with no online mode and no lobby.
When is GTA Online 2 coming?#
Unannounced. Rockstar is reportedly not planning to discuss the next online mode soon.
Is GTA 6 crossplay?#
Not applicable at launch, since there is no multiplayer. Nothing has been announced for the eventual online mode.
Will GTA Online shut down?#

Are the GTA 6 leaks real?#
The August 2026 CyberLeek footage appears genuine, from a playable 2025 development build. Take-Two filed DMCA takedowns and won court-approved subpoenas against Microsoft and Discord.
Who is CyberLeek?#
An anonymous individual or group that began publishing unreleased GTA 6 material on 18 August 2026. Their identity is the subject of active subpoenas.
What was the 2022 GTA 6 leak?#
A member of the Lapsus$ group, later identified in court as Arion Kurtaj, leaked over 90 clips of early footage in September 2022. Rockstar confirmed it was genuine.
Do the leaks spoil the GTA 6 story?#
Yes, partly. The August 2026 leaks include story cutscenes with dialogue. This wiki does not reproduce any of it.
Will the leaks delay GTA 6?#
There is no indication they will. Rockstar reaffirmed the 19 November date in the Extended Look released nine days after the leaks began.
