There is no Deluxe edition

Official

Despite widespread early reporting of a three-tier structure, Rockstar published only two: Standard and Ultimate. If you see a “Deluxe Edition” listed anywhere, it does not exist.

The Vintage Vice City Pack

Included with all pre-orders, and with the Ultimate Edition regardless.

  • '55 Vapid Stanier sedan, with a Shore Court garage to keep it in Official
  • Retro '80s outfits for both Jason and Lucia Official
  • A tropical weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti Official

GTA+

Digital pre-orders also receive one free month of GTA+, which adds $500,000 to your bank balance and grants access to a selection of classic Rockstar titles through the GTA+ Games Library Official.

The Wyman commission

A special commission mission — Wyman's Classic Car Collection — given by Wyman, an eccentric mechanic and car collector who runs Wyman's World Auto Salvage Co. He exists only for Ultimate Edition players Official.

Sara's includes signature salon styles for both protagonists — facial hair for Jason, makeup and nails for Lucia.

These are single-player shops

Unusually for a premium edition, the six exclusive stores are single-player content rather than online-only unlocks. That makes the Ultimate Edition a genuine content difference in the campaign, not just a cosmetic bundle.

Dates and formats

  1. Pre-orders opened

Both editions went live with full contents published.

  2. Pre-load begins

Digital pre-orders can start downloading a full week before launch.

  3. Release

    PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Physical vs digital

The boxed “physical” Standard Edition contains a download code, not a disc Official. The Ultimate Edition is digital only. Standard owners can buy the Ultimate upgrade separately at any time.

Is the upgrade worth $20?

An honest read, since this is the question the page exists to answer.

Buy Ultimate if

  • You care about the six exclusive shops — they are the only genuinely content-shaped item in the bundle, and two of them are mod shops in a game where vehicles matter
  • You want the classic vehicles from the start rather than earning equivalents
  • You expect to spend serious time on appearance, given the tattoo and salon content

Stick with Standard if

  • You would rather find vehicles in the world than be handed them — in a game where stealing cars is a whole system, being given five for free arguably undercuts it
  • Cosmetics do not interest you
  • You want the option to upgrade later, once you know how much you are playing — which Rockstar explicitly allows

On pre-ordering at all

Nothing in the pre-order bonus has been announced as time-limited, and pre-load opens for every digital buyer regardless of when they order. Pre-order because you want the Vintage Vice City Pack, not because you are worried about access.
