21 GTA 6 songs are now confirmed
The Extended Look nearly tripled the confirmed GTA 6 tracklist in one afternoon. It did not, however, confirm a single radio station — and the difference matters more than most write-ups have allowed.
Short answer
How many GTA 6 songs are confirmed?
Twenty-one as of 31 August 2026 — seven from the two trailers and fourteen identified in the 27 August Extended Look. They span the 1970s to the present, including Def Leppard, Phil Collins, Cliff Richard, Depeche Mode, Prefab Sprout, Kodak Black, Lil Wayne and Birdman. Rockstar has not assigned any of them to a radio station, and has published no full tracklist.
What the showcase added
Before 27 August, the confirmed GTA 6 tracklist ran to seven songs, all of them from the two official trailers. The Extended Look added fourteen more, identified by the community and by outlets tracking the showcase frame by frame.
The range is the interesting part. The confirmed set now covers roughly five decades — late-1970s soft rock, 1980s synth-pop and stadium rock, and contemporary Florida rap sitting side by side. That is a wider spread than GTA V's launch soundtrack covered, and it is consistent with a station lineup built to move between eras rather than genres.
Artists confirmed in official footage so far
ConfirmedDef Leppard, Phil Collins, Cliff Richard, Depeche Mode, Prefab Sprout, !!!, Aluna & Jayda G, Elderbrook, Kodak Black, Lil Wayne and Birdman are among the artists whose music has appeared in official Rockstar GTA 6 material. Full track-by-track list →
The caveat everyone is skipping
A song in the showcase is not a song on the radio
Rockstar scores its trailers and showcases as marketing, and it has repeatedly used tracks in promotional material that never appeared on an in-game station. The reverse is also true: the vast majority of a GTA radio lineup has always been revealed at launch, not before. Twenty-one confirmed songs is a fraction of what will ship.
For scale: GTA V launched with 441 licensed tracks across 17 stations. Red Dead Redemption 2 shipped with an original score plus a much smaller vocal set. If GTA 6 lands anywhere near GTA V's number, the 21 songs confirmed today represent under 5% of the final soundtrack.
When the station list usually drops
Rockstar's habit on recent titles has been to publish the station lineup, the DJs and a partial tracklist in the final two weeks before launch, often alongside a music-focused Newswire post. For a 19 November release, that points to early November 2026.
There has been no announcement of a physical or streaming soundtrack album. Rockstar released one for Red Dead Redemption 2 but has never released a comprehensive GTA licensed-music album, for straightforward rights reasons.
