Short answer
What is the latest GTA 6 news?
Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6's single-player has no microtransactions and was built without generative AI, days after releasing An Extended Look, a 26-minute gameplay showcase that premiered on Netflix on 27 August 2026. It followed the CyberLeek build leak, which has published footage from a playable 2025 build since 18 August, and Take-Two's court-approved subpoenas against Microsoft and Discord on 22 August. The 19 November 2026 release date is unchanged.

What the Extended Look actually changed
Before 27 August, most of what the community “knew” about GTA 6 systems came from leaks and inference. The showcase converted a large amount of that into confirmed fact, and quietly contradicted some of it.

Still unanswered
UnconfirmedRockstar has not addressed frame rate, first-person mode, the online component, a PC version, install size, or accessibility options. Reporting suggests base PS5 runs at 30 fps and that first-person is not present at launch, but neither has been confirmed by Rockstar.
What to expect before launch
- A launch trailer. Rockstar has released one for every mainline GTA roughly two to four weeks out. The likely window →
- Take-Two's Q2 FY27 earnings call in early November, which historically produces sales projections and occasionally a system detail.
- Review embargo. On recent Rockstar titles, reviews landed one to two days before release.
- Continued leak enforcement. The CyberLeek litigation is active and will likely generate news independent of the game.
- Soundtrack and radio reveals. Rockstar has typically published station and artist lists in the final fortnight. The 21 songs confirmed so far →
- Pre-load, from 12 November. A week before launch, for every digital pre-order. Release details →
