Is the Ultimate Edition worth $20 more?

Is the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition worth it?
The Ultimate Edition is $99.99 against $79.99 for Standard. It adds in-game vehicles, six businesses, the Crest Kayak and benefits for the online mode. It does not include early access — both editions unlock at the same moment on 19 November 2026 — and there is no online mode at launch, so a large part of what you pay for cannot be used on day one.

No early access on either edition
OfficialSeveral major releases this generation have charged a premium for two or three days of early access. GTA 6 does not: both editions unlock at the same moment.
The part you cannot use
There is no online mode at launch
ConfirmedGTA 6 ships as a single-player game on 19 November. Rockstar has not announced the structure or the date of GTA Online's successor. Whatever the Ultimate Edition's online benefits turn out to be, there is nothing to spend them in on day one.
Which makes the maths straightforward
You are paying $20 for a set of single-player vehicles, six shops and a kayak, plus an option on future online content with no announced date. If the vehicles and shops appeal on their own, it is worth it. On the $79.99 base price
GTA 6 launches ten dollars above the $69.99 that has been this generation's standard. The comparison worth making is not against other 2026 releases but against GTA V, which launched at $59.99 in 2013 — close to $80 in 2026 money once US inflation is applied.
No microtransactions in single-player
